Cold March

Cold March

Very blustery here today. Sunny but cold. I've been practicing while the radio is on, I heard Sam Rivers did that, to help focus his concentration, so lately I have a mix of current events and chords and scales bouncing around in my head.

Here's a short audio clip from my last solo performance (Delancey St. on the F Train, Uptown platform.)

the first day of spring

finishing up rooms

If you check the work in pittsburgh post from february this is the same room that had the cieling torn down before. I'm slowly working my way throught this house and fixing then finishing every room. So far the first has been the most extensive. three or four more to go. These are a couple of shots of simon. He decided that it was funny to put bubbles on his chin. He would dip his head down until his chin was skimming the water and come up with a huge smile and a face full of bubbles. The other pic is of him sitting in his alcove. it is simon sized. it doesn't fit me or ellie so we have handed over the lease for teh bit of property to him. We love you all and hope you are doing well.

Nate's Museum Piece

Ron Mueck

We got a family pass to the museums here in Pittsburgh. Some for Simon and some ofor us. We went to the Andy Warhol Museum recently to see some work by Ron Mueck. I guess he started his career early making puppets for the movie Labyrinth. The sculptural work we saw was gigantic, very realistic, and some of it was a little bit creepy because it was so big and real. We think this is him. He calls it Mask II.
