"Die Canyon"

It's called dry canyon, but the steep, narrow, icy windy route with the potential of slow skiers and snowshoe-ers around every corner gives it the name Die canyon. Brilliant on a Thursday morning early when I have the canyon to myself.

Green Canyon Yurt called our names, and Jake and I skinned up to it late lazy Friday night. After sliding around a slippery street Logan, we almost made it to the mouth of the canyon before getting Jake's Accord stuck. The skin was long, we talked about science and aid to global south countries. Paul and James had made a fire in the stove when we got there, and James gave me a whole ball of caramel popcorn. We slept in, couldn't finish our huge pancakes, and avoided the avalanche-risky ridges. I went home and slept all afternoon.

I was going to post these the other day but I ran out of time. What a place. Jesse and I talked in British accents, walked slowly, slept under ancient trees, gawked at the castles and pretended to be students in one of the halls. It felt like Hogwarts.
